How should I deal with this?

Aw, you actually sound like a really sweet guy. I'm the same way sometimes. I can understand why your mom, who's from another generation, would act that way when she views her son on the computer all the time. It might worry her when in reality there may be nothing to worry about. Really, once you get your license and a job the world opens up to you. In the meantime, just try to ignore your mom or tell her that you like the computer and she has to deal with it. Try to go to your dads as much as you can and maybe suggest to do other stuff with your friends, like go out. Shyness goes away with social interaction. If you put yourself in situations with more and more people you'll become more talkative. Shyness isn't a terrible thing though, if you don't let it take control. Good luck.
