Did the united kingdom experience segregation laws like the US did with black people?

i just finished watching a movie, and it's set in the 50s in the US, and the way the whites in the film treated blacks just pissed me off to no end. it reminded me how much i hate white racists, but it also got me thinking that maybe this racism against blacks was because white americans were so secluded from the rest of the world with their insane religions? so, it got me thinking that maybe the UK would have been different? did they experience segregation laws like the US, or anything similar?
